Torn

So many thoughts come to me when I look at these creations.

First of all, to me these works are a manifest of emotional behavior and spontaneous acts. Or maybe even what it means to be a Woman. I didn’t plan to tear these works when I started sketching them. In a moment I didn’t like them and the next moment I tore them to pieces...

However then I remember I’m so much against destroying artworks. Because art is extremely subjective and so many times the pieces that I didn’t love have found and abundance of love and acceptance from many others. So I decided to keep the pieces and glue them together, give them another life.

Then the main reason why I’ve done these pieces the way I did them was to show that scars are not ugly and if you could see through the scar tissue you would see beauty.
